“Here you go miss.” A woman with short black hair and sharp facial feature set a glass of her favorite drink in front of her.

“I didn’t order this.” Evolet replied looking up at her. She smiles and pointed to the man sitting at the end of the bar that came in moments ago.

“That man paid for your drink. He says that he knows you.” The bartender said as she lit up a cigarette. Letting the curiosity get the best of her, Evolet picked up her drink and sat next to him.

“So, you say that you know me?” Evolet asked as she sip her drink without looking at the guy whose face is covered by some dirty hooded cloak. She could see out of the corner of her eyes that he nodded and took a sip of his whiskey. She recognizes it by it smell. She would always smell it in his breathe….

“….Rayleigh?” She slowly said as she turns to face him. Evolet could see him smile as he removed the hood.

“Long time, no see huh? It’s nice to see you again, Evolet.” Rayleigh said turning towards her. She stared at him for a long time. Rayleigh was bracing himself for whatever ‘normal’ reaction to expect. But he sometimes forgets that Evolet is not like any normal woman he has ever met. So, he wasn’t prepared for her to say that.

“My god, you have gotten old.”

Rayleigh stop drinking and started to cough his drink up. Once he stopped coughing, he starts too laughed.

“I must admit, I was not expecting you to answer like that. Ha-ha!”

“Well, what do you expect? Me squealing ‘Oh my gosh! It’s you’ and start tackle you in a hug or something?”

“Well…. Yes.” Rayleigh admits as Evolet just rolled her eyes.

“Well, you haven’t changed much, other than looking older but are you any wiser?” Evolet jeers as she took a sip of her drink.

“I highly doubt it.” Rayleigh chuckled as he took another sip of his drink.

“But seriously, the next time we run into each other, you better find a wife that will help you to get dress or at least nagged you to dress yourself better. Heck! You even dress better than me back in the day! Now you look like an old hobo!” Evolet said as she was gesturing Rayleigh latest style. He barked at a laugh as he turns to her.

“I do have a wife! You just met her just a moment ago,” Evolet eyes widen and turned to look at the black hair woman who was smoking her cigarette and reading the newspaper.

“Isn’t she a bit too young for an old man like you?” Evolet commented which earned a slap in the back of the head from Rayleigh.

“Well I can say you hardly changed at all, looks wise that is… but there is something different about you.” Rayleigh said as he set his drink down, empty.

“I wish I could say the same about your slap.” Evolet muttered as she was rubbing her head from his slap earlier. He smiled at her before getting up to leave.

“You look very much alive and happy. Happier than I ever seen you since we were sailing with Roger’s.” Evolet stared at him as her brows furrows. She doesn’t understand what he means by that since she had recently lost her only Godson in the war and spent the last two years in griefs and regrets. How can he say that she’s seem happier and alive when it one of the most painful and grueling experience she have to live through, yet again. Then she saw Rayleigh stand up.

“I wish I could stay here and catch up but I have to see Luffy and his crew off. Who knows, we might see each other someday soon.” Rayleigh said as he placed a hand on her shoulder. She smiles up at him.

“I too can’t stay very long either but I do hope that the next time we met isn’t going to be at some funeral.” Evolet said half-jokingly but Ray didn’t smile at that. He lift up his hand and pat her on the head and started for the door.

“Hey Ray!” Evolet said over her shoulder. She heard him stop and turned around. Evolet stood up and finish her drinks.

“I’m coming with you!” She huffed as she walked over to him. They didn’t have to look hard since they follow the sound of bullets and explosions. They just gotten over the hill as Luffy, Sanji and Zoro were running away. Just then, Luffy halted and turned around. He smile big as he took a deep breath of air and holla out their names.

“Evolet! Rayliegh!” The marine that were chasing them halted to a stop as many stare on in disbelief as the two dangerous pirates were just feet from them.

“We came here to check on you but you seem alright. Your power sure has improved.” Rayleigh said.

“Uh-huh!” Luffy smiled as he nodded up to him.

“Luffy!” Evolet shouted as she try not to choke up. It was the first time she had seen him in two years and couldn’t help but chuckled as he still hasn’t changed much. She threw him something as he use his rubber arm to stretch out and catch it. He open his hand and see that it’s a snailphone.

“If you or your crew ever get into trouble. Remember to call me and I’ll find you. I don’t care if I’m on the other side of the world. I will come and help you.”

“Yes! I will! Thank you Evolet!” Luffy shouted out.

“Zoro! Sanji!” They heard someone called out as they turn to see Evolet was still talking.

“Take care of him or I’ll kick your ass!”

“❤ ❤ You can kick my ass right now! ❤ ❤” Sanji cooed as blood squirted out his nose. Zoro just look over to him and tisk at the sight but nodded up to Evolet never the less.

“Now go to your friends!” Rayleigh ordered.

“Uh-huh! Rayleigh, thank you for everything these past 2 years! And Evolet! Join my crew!”

“Hell no! I would be cheating you out of amazing adventures with your crews!” Evolet chuckled but Luffy frowns a bit.

“Alright but if you ever get too lonely, come and see me! I’ve made new crews member I want you to meet!”

“And I will meet them soon. Now get going will ya!”

“You two are out of character, just go!” Rayleigh huffed. Luffy put his bag down and took a few steps forward.

“Rayleigh.” Luffy raised one fist. “Evolet.” He raised the other.

“I’ll do it! I’m going to be King of the Pirates!” The two of them look down at Luffy and smile as he quickly packs up and run away with his crew.

“Rise to the top!” Rayleigh shouted as he slash through the ground, separating all the Marine from following them.

“Dark King Rayleigh!” The marines gasped.

“It’s a new beginning for my pupil! Don’t be too hard on him.” Rayleigh said. Then a burst of fire came in front of them as Evolet walked over to Rayleigh side.

“If any of you dare to cause harm to my boy… or his crew, I will burn you to ashes.” Evolet spoke coldly as she glared at them. Many shiver at the sight as they all quickly took many steps back.

“You can breathe fire now?” Rayleigh asked in a surprised tone.

“I guess I’ll never stop learning about my dragon power. I learn something new every 50-100 years or so.” Evolet shrugged as she walked to groove 42. They heard canons being fired but they were not too worry about it. Evolet manage to see Luffy and his crew sail off to the ocean below as she sat at the edge, watching the marines sail off. Rayleigh and his wife soon came over to Evolet side. After a few moment of silence, and the passing of whiskey, Evolet spoke.

“Thank you for taking care of Luffy. And thank you for everything you have done for us. Take care of yourself because you need to see Luffy be crowned as King of the Pirate before you kick the bucket.”

Rayleigh smiles as he stood up to leave.

“I’ll keep that in mind. You owe me a drink the next time we met.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Was all she said as Rayleigh disappear into the forest. Shakky flick her cigarette in the air and walked over to her.

“So, you know him?”

Evolet smirked as she stood up and slip some berries into her hand. “That drunkard would never let me forget him.” She said as she walked off to find a boat to steal.
